Vienna Market: Reviews & Ratings

This is the kind of place I love to review. A business who's pride in their products shows over and over again. Delicious, well presented food served by friendly people. I will be back many times to a place like this. Five stars is not enough. I got some fried chicken but I had tastes of gyro meat and also corned beef which was *chef's kiss.

Food was very good at a very fair price. I had to put the atmosphere at 1 star because while your waiting 5 minutes for you food your forced to listen to a crappy out of time stereo blaring while they have a tv blaring sports. Gave me a total headache. I said something to the cashier and she just laughed. Don’t think I’ll go back there just because of that.

Easily one of the best sandwiches I've had in Cleveland. Get the New Yorker, corned beef and pastrami. It's fantastic. The guys who run it care about their food and it shows. Perfect.

This place taught me a valuable lesson in the various faces of loyalty. I was saddened by the previous restaurant closing considering it is a black owned business and it seemed they just disappeared one day. Well upon walking into the new restaurant in its place MaMa Oddies likeness is everywhere!! I asked the cashier about the old place and etc they said they still do good business with them, serve their cakes and receive help from them. That warmed my heart SO much!! Just off of that alone they got a loyal customer out of me. Now to talk about the food! I am not being at all biased when I say it is delicious, fresh and made with love… I went during the lunch special 10:30-2:30 and got a gyro w fries and drink, a tilapia sandwich with fries and drink and a chicken salad sandwich. It all totaled out to 26.72 so roughly 8.99 + each. I was hesitant about the tilapia Sandwich but the breading was perfect not too hard and didn’t have a lingering seafood taste, just tilapia. The fries where made fresh so by time I got them were a little soft but considering I still ate them, just needed some Cajun or Lawrys or a little salt… the chicken salad sandwich is a full size not that half size box mess FULL size and has tomato’s white onion, romaine, lettuce black olives, shredded cheese I’d say mozz, banana peppers and crispy chicken… too much to eat at once and very very fresh and delicious… I even ate the olives I hate olives. I’ll be going back to try more foods and get some deserts oh and they have this 60/40 faygo drink it’s popular… 10/10 please keep it up!

Vienna Market is a no-frills restaurant and deli serving up delicious food that is made to order. They make all of their corned beef fresh and in-house with premium cuts of meat. I spoke to the owner, Tony, about his 30 years of experience in the restaurant industry, and you can tell the care he puts into selecting quality ingredients for his customers. There are three tables inside for dining in, but the wait is not long if you’d like to carry out after ordering. They also have a selection of produce, frozen meat, and some shelf staples available for purchase along with sweet potato pies from Aunt Oddie, a local baker.

Vienna Market, nestled at 15115 Puritas Ave in Cleveland, is a no-frills restaurant and deli that proudly serves fresh, made-to-order meals with a deep dedication to quality. The moment you step inside, you notice that this is more than just a place to eat—it’s a hub of culinary passion led by owner Tony, who brings over 30 years of experience to the table. Every dish reflects his commitment to premium ingredients, especially the house-made corned beef crafted from top-tier cuts.

The menu shines with standout items like their 5 Whole Chicken Wings accompanied by crisp, tangy coleslaw—a classic pairing done right. The wings are cooked with care, juicy and flavorful, while the coleslaw adds the perfect fresh balance. Equally impressive are their sandwiches: the New Yorker, stacked high with corned beef and pastrami, is often hailed as one of Cleveland’s best. The recent lunch special I tried—a gyro with fries and a drink—showcased the kitchen's ability to blend authentic flavors with fresh ingredients that feel homemade. The tilapia sandwich surprised me; the breading was just right, not overpowering the delicate fish, offering a clean, fresh finish without an overbearing seafood taste.

Aside from the food, Vienna Market serves a genuine community role. They keep ties with beloved local establishments like MaMa Oddies, offering their cakes and supporting the neighborhood’s culinary culture. This connection adds a warm, loyal vibe to the overall experience. Even the sides—fries fresh from the kitchen—though sometimes a little soft, remain inviting with a sprinkle of Cajun seasoning or salt, making them perfect accompaniments.

While it's true the atmosphere can get noisy with TV sports and loud music, detracting slightly from the dining experience, the attentive and friendly staff more than make up for it. The welcoming service complements the honest, hearty food, making Vienna Market a place you want to return to again and again.

Beyond just dining, Vienna Market offers a selection of fresh produce, frozen meats, and pantry staples, including the highly recommended sweet potato pies from Aunt Oddie, a local baker. This thoughtful blend of deli, restaurant, and market elements offers both convenience and taste in one spot.

In all, Vienna Market is a Cleveland gem where food quality and community spirit are evident in every bite. Whether it’s the expertly made corned beef, the flavorful wings, or the soulful sandwiches, this place leaves a lasting impression of care and genuine flavor.
